Climate Narratives
Climate Narratives is the Climate Action Center’s flagship cultural and advocacy initiative, designed to mainstream climate consciousness through storytelling, creative expression, and meaningful public dialogue. We believe the climate crisis is not only an environmental emergency, it is also a cultural one. It shapes how we live, what we value, and how we imagine the future. Through Climate Narratives, we engage communities where change truly begins: in the stories they share, the art they create, the culture they set and the futures they dare to envision. This initiative brings together artists, writers, thinkers, activists and everyday citizens to reimagine life in an age of ecological disruption, and to create a collective language of hope, justice, and transformation.
Our Initiatives
1. Imagining Life
The Climate Action Center (CAC) is launching its Imagining Life Series. This is a multi-year, multilingual, and multidisciplinary program and multimedia campaign of narrative, scholarship, and cultural production consisting of a series of seminars, webinars, symposia, workshops, and artistic endeavors. It seeks to bring together scholars, artists, writers, policymakers, and activists to explore issues of social transformation, cultural consciousness, and concepts of the future. Beginning with a focus on climate and environment, this series will aim to address many facets of social and cultural consciousness, with a strong emphasis on climate narratives and green transition through cultural engagement and community participation. CAC is based on the premise that climate is culture, and thus any truly effective and necessary transformative thinking must seek to understand our habits of thought and consciousness while conceiving of different futures.
Event Launch
Our launch event is set for 2025. This event will bring together leading voices in art and activism to explore how creative expression and cultural memory can help us reimagine life in the face of ecological and humanitarian crises. Featuring keynote talks, panel discussions, and artistic showcases, the event will challenge apocalyptic thinking and inspire visions of resilience, hope, and collective action.
