Air Quality

Air Quality

Air pollution is one of the most pressing environmental and public health issues in Pakistan. Cities like Lahore, Karachi, and Peshawar regularly record dangerously high levels of pollutants like PM2.5, nitrogen dioxide, and carbon monoxide. This not only harms our lungs but also weakens our economy, disrupts education, and contributes to climate change.

Our Mission: Clean Air is a Right

At the Climate Action Center (CAC), we recognize that clean air is a fundamental right, not a luxury. Through data, advocacy, education, and grassroots organizing, We’re working to make better air quality a public health priority.

Our Work on Air Quality

Understanding the Problem

We track air quality across different cities using real-time and historic data. With the help of local partners and citizen scientists, we interpret this data to inform communities, support researchers, and guide policymakers.

Raising Awareness

Through public talks, workshops, and journalists training, we teach people how air pollution affects their lives, and what they can do to protect themselves and others.

Cleaner Transport

We promote the shift to electric mobility and non-motorized transport (like cycling and walking) to reduce emissions in cities. Our team also works with industry and local governments to accelerate this transition.

Advocating for Policy

We support policy efforts focused on:
